Chad Henderson, CEO of Catalyst Healthcare, was born and raised right here in teh Pensacola area. He grew up on a dirt road in the Pine Forest area, attended local schools and went to Florida State University. Upon graduating, he began work in the financial services industry, and then began investing in real estate.
As a result of the 2008 mortgage crisis, Chad, like many real estate investors, suffered crushing losses. He decided to start over…this time, in healthcare. After developing a handful of successful medical clinics, Catalyst was born. Today, Catalyst has over XXX,XXX square feet of medical space under management and is responsible for more than $1B in real estate.
OLF-8 was originally conceived as a commerce park. At the time, this land swap with the U.S. Navy was a pioneering innovation to secure large parcels suitable for economic development. However, as time (and bureaucratic delays) progressed, once the land was finally transferred to Escambia County.
The Tri-W approach to economic development and job creation differs from more traditional, incentive-based approaches.
We believe that by creating a great place at OLF-8 where people want to visit, shop, eat, live, and relax, we can attract great companies to locate there too.
Jim Wilson & Associates has partnered with the U.S. Army at Redstone Arsenal to create hundreds of light manufacturing jobs on those unused military parcels, in addition to thousands of office and retail jobs across the southeast. Catalyst has supported the creation of thousands of jobs around the country, including hundreds right here in the Pensacola area through healthcare development, retail centers, and destination areas such as the East Garden District. As former Mayor and now as President of the Andrews Research & Education Foundation, Ashton Hayward has recruited millions of dollars in job-creating public and private partnerships in the Pensacola area, including manufacturing facilities, medical research grants, and civic beautification investments.
Our goal for OLF-8 would be to leverage the combined experience, expertise, and relationships of our team members to attract truly high-wage, high-tech, research and light manufacturing jobs to OLF-8.
